At the Y, we know that one size doesn’t fit all. That goes for Y memberships too.
To help meet the varying needs of our members and our community, we offer several categories of membership.

Family definition: A family is composed one or two adults and dependent children residing at the same address. Available to children under 18 years of age or full-time students under age 25 and full time in school. Students must show student ID.

 
Student memberships (18+ years) attending college/ university, Student ID required.
 
Teen memberships (13-17 years) automatically upgrade to the adult membership rate upon turning 18 years of age. To obtain student status, student photo ID card is required 15 days prior to the continuous monthly payment date in the month of birth.
 
 

Financial Assistance Program

At the YMCA of Brockville and Area we believe that no one should be denied access to memberships and programs due to their inability to pay. Financial assistance ensures affordable access to the YMCA for individuals or families who face financial barriers to joining our programs and services.

Payment Options
We’ve made it easy for you to pay for your membership by giving you options. Our memberships are annual. Most of our members choose to pay for their membership through a single payment for this annual membership. This can also be done through a convenient bi-weekly charge to a member's credit or via bank account.

Holds

Can I put my membership on hold?

To put your membership on hold for any reason we must receive written notice 15 day prior to your next payment date. You may put your membership on hold from 2 weeks to 6 months. A cancellation/ hold form must be completed in writing.  For your convenience you may send a detailed e-mail to yba.cancel@brockville.ymca.ca.   Please see the Membership Services Desk for more details or forms.  

 
Cancellations
Pre-authorized membership plans can be cancelled at any time, and must be made in writing to the YMCA of Brockville and Area at least 15 days before the effective date of cancellation. Please note we are unable to accept cancellations by phone. Cancellations will not be backdated. No refund shall be issued for pre-authorized withdrawals.
 
Memberships paid in full will be pro-rated on date of request and a $20.00 plus taxes administration fee will be charged. The membership card must be returned to the YMCA upon membership cancellation.
 
Cancellation for medical reasons is acceptable with presentation of a medical note at the time of request.
