What to bring: Diapers, wipes, two changes of clothes, blanket for nap time, bottles and formula if necessary, and weather related outdoor clothing. The room is licensed for ten (10) children with a 1 to 3 ratio and requires three (3) ECE’s or equivalents to staff it when it is at full capacity.
The room is designed to encourage free exploration of all areas and children participate in art experiences, sensory play, and fine and gross motor play. The infants are equipped with two strollers so the children are able to go on outings to the community. Our infant program places importance on providing for the infant’s individual needs in a secure, loving and stimulating environment.
Ages: 18 months to 2½ years
What to bring: Diapers, wipes, two changes of clothes, any special blankets or sleep toys for nap time, indoor shoes in the winter time, weather related outdoor clothing. The room is licensed for fifteen (15) children with a 1 to 5 ratio and requires three (3) ECE’s or equivalents to staff it when it is at full capacity.
Importance is placed on providing a secure, predictable and interesting environment to set the stage for future development. We all know kids love to play, but did you know they also learn while they play? Research has shown that kids at play are already building the foundation for their major life skills, including language and literacy, mathematics, science and technology, as well as the arts. Playtime experiences are an important way to understand how kids learn, and how we can help then learn more effectively. Your toddler will make huge strides physically, intellectually, and emotionally, whether it’s learning to use the potty or
how to make friends.
Ages: 2 ½ years to 4 years
What to bring: extra clothes, indoor shoes in the winter time, weather related outdoor clothing, any special blankets and sleep toys for nap time. The room is licensed for twenty-four (24) children with a 1 to 8 ratio and requires three (3) ECE’s or equivalents to staff it when it is at full capacity.
Your child will develop self-help skills, as well as being able to be independent and still be stimulated through a play based curriculum. Your child will gain skills that will help prepare him/her for school in the coming year. Programs for these children build on their natural desire to learn new things and become more self-reliant.
