Note: Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) Impact on Memberships and Courses
HST is a 13% tax which is the combination of GST (5%) and PST (8%). HST is effective for purchases related to July 1, 2010 and later. Memberships and Courses which previously only had 5% GST will now be charged 13% HST. As per Government regulations, Memberships and Courses sold on or after May 1st will have HST charged to the portion of the fee which applies to July 1, 2010 and later.
Note: Students must be 18 years or older, full-time, post-secondary and provide a student ID card or current time-table at time of joining.
Note: Monthly withdrawal plans can be arranged when memberships are not paid in full upon joining. An administration fee applies.
Note: All monthly Pre Authorized Charging (PAC) fees include a $3.50 administrative fee and taxes.
The Brockville and Area YMCA implemented a new software program on
January 1, 2008. With this change you will notice some changes in our membership and childcare services. As of January 1st, 2008 the Brockville YMCA no longer accepts personal cheques on products and services.
Facility Enhancement Fund
# A Facility Enhancement Fee is added to each membership upon joining. All new members or those members who have allowed their memberships to lapse for 90 days or longer, are required to contribute to our Facility Enhancement Fund. This one time, non-refundable fee, is used to keep our facility in as new condition and our equipment up to date. Members are consulted for their input on priority needs.

Membership Assistance
The YMCA offers the opportunity for Financial Membership Assistance to those who are willing but unable to pay the full fee for requested services. Please see our Financial Assistance Brochure for more information.
Cancellations
Pre-authorized membership plans can be cancelled at any time, and must be made in writing to the Brockville and Area YMCA at least 15 days before the effective date of cancellation. Please note we are unable to accept cancellations by phone. Cancellations will not be backdated. No refund shall be issued for pre-authorized withdrawals.
Memberships paid in full will be pro-rated on date of request and a $20.00 plus taxes administration fee will be charged.
The membership card must be returned to the YMCA upon membership cancellation.
Cancellation for medical reasons is acceptable with presentation of a medical note at the time of request.

**Access Policy: Newborn to 5 year old requires direct parental/guardian supervision. Supervising adult not required to purchase day pass for this purpose.
Day Passes give you access to the whole facility, drop in fitness/recreational activities, open/family swim times, adult lane swim, aqua-fitness, tennis, squash, strength & conditioning area, track and locker rooms.
