Healthy Heart Program
A supervised exercise and education program for individuals with known cardiac related conditions. The program is designed to support individuals who have a history of various heart related
conditions such as angina, or have experienced myocardial infarction, coronary artery bypass surgery, valve replacement or any cardiac-related surgery.
Medical referral required.

Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Program
The YMCA Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Program is a new service offered to the
Brockville area. It is a structured, post-rehabilitation program with direction
towards, although not limited to, individuals living with stroke, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injury and multiple sclerosis.

Gentle Fitness Exercise Classes (18+ years)
A series of fun, social exercise classes designed for individuals living with physical limitations, chronic health conditions or those that are new to fitness. We focus on strength, flexibility, balance and fall prevention training. A medical referral may be required.
"Gentle Sit Fit" - Movement, stretches and resistance exercises performed seated position. Designed to increase strength and promote flexibility. Wheelchairs welcome.
"Get off Your Rocker"- A fun-filled hour which includes low impact movement,
gentle stretching, resistance exercise and activities. The activities can include
bowling, target games, "shooting hoops",group ball activities and much more.

“Gentle Yoga” – Simple and healing movements for those new to yoga. Exercises are performed seated and on the mat. Come and experience your inner fitness with this ancient practice of quieting the mind.
"Gentle Total Body" - Low impact cardio, and total body work out of all the major muscle groups. Exercise modifications are given to accomodate varying fitness abilities. This workout could include free weights, body bars and exercise balls.
